HMNZS Moa

The Moa was refuelling when it was hit twice and sank within minutes, with five crew lost. Only months earlier it had helped force the Japanese submarine I-1 aground off Guadalcanal. Divers can see the 4-inch bow gun, the propeller, winches and the depth charge racks at the stern. Juvenile trevally, mangrove jacks, batfish and many lionfish live on the wreck.
