Civil War Wreck
Little more than piles of wooden beams remain of this vessel, but the fastening pins still show how it was built. NOAA places it just north of the Elbow lighthouse inside The Elbow Sanctuary Preservation Area. The small area attracts colourful fish and invertebrates, which is why photographers like it. It lies among the other wrecks and coral fingers of Elbow Reef.
