K41
Also known as: K 41
The reef lies only metres from a shady beach used for picnics and camping, and entry is easy at almost any tide. Dive Timor Lorosae splits the site into K41 West, a sheltered coral slope rich in macro life, and K41 East, a shallow wall that ends on a very deep slope full of sponges and corals. Leaf scorpionfish, winged pipefish, robust ghost pipefish, frogfish and many nudibranchs are found here, while turtles and whitetip reef sharks pass by. Wikivoyage also mentions seagrass to the north-west that sometimes attracts dugongs. Small trees on the point are sacred to local people, so visitors keep to the western part of the beach.
