Behau Village

Also known as: Be'e Hau Village

Divers gear up in the enclosure and cross a short rocky stretch and sand before reaching the coral. The slope alternates with small walls and sandy patches and is covered in hard and soft corals, with fine gardens between 3 and 10 m near the lip. Crevices hide ribbon eels and leaf scorpionfish, and seamoths occasionally show up on the sand. Wikivoyage mentions a big bommie at 30 m, large barrel sponges, Napoleon wrasse and giant clams. The site is good for snorkelling, but local spectators should be expected.
