Cristo Rei East
Also known as: Back Side of Christo Rei · Christo Rei East · Back of Jesus · Kiwi Beach
The site lies on the far side of the cape, about 20 minutes by car from central Dili, at the end of a gravel track along the coast. Divers enter in the middle of the bay over sand and seagrass, where Wannadive reports a seahorse, before reaching a small coral wall that follows the shore. Many kinds of coral, giant clams in the 5 to 10 m zone and plenty of nudibranchs, shrimps and crabs make it a good macro site. In the blue, sharks, giant trevally, devil rays and eagle rays pass by, and Dive Timor Lorosae even lists hammerhead sharks as a rare sighting. Wikivoyage recommends it as a drift dive from a boat and warns of strong current near the point.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
