Mushroom Rock

Mushroom Rock takes its name from large limestone formations that mushroom out of the sea at the south-east of Samal Island. Under water, leather corals in the shallows turn into steep slopes and walls thickly covered in soft corals before meeting a sandy bottom. Dive Happy compares it with Mansud Wall and calls both ideal for drift dives. Pelagics and the occasional dolphin are reported, and local divers recommend a night dive to watch large basket stars feeding on the reef.
