The fighter lies about 800 m offshore near Analipsi and Hersonissos, broken into several pieces with its wings and fuselage intact. Divers can look into the cockpit, see a machine gun protruding from the sand and an ammunition belt, and one landing wheel is still attached. The tail section came off on impact and rests some 50 m away at around 30 m. The site is exposed outside the bay, so it is only dived in very good weather, and visibility and current vary. Large groupers and moray eels live on the wreck.
