La Parguera

La Parguera, named after the red snapper, is one of the deeper Saona sites and is aimed at experienced divers. Strong current usually turns the dive into a drift along the wall, past overhangs and a few small swim-throughs. Nurse and reef sharks rest in the lee of the overhangs. Visibility is good all year, and Pro Dive recommends nitrox for more bottom time. ScubaFun pairs it with the shallower El Peñón on the same trip.
