Chapel

Also known as: Chapel Point · Chapel Reef

Chapel is named after the island's chapel, which divers can see from the boat. The dive begins on a gentle sandy slope dotted with coral heads and then reaches a steep wall full of cracks, overhangs and small caverns. Bongo Bongo Divers usually drift along the wall and say its best section lies between 18 and 24 m, with a small cave near its end. Sponges, sea fans and both hard and soft corals cover the reef. Banded sea snakes hunt in the coral, and with luck bumphead parrotfish pass in deeper water.
