Red Baron Caves
The main cave has a chamber connected to a shaft about 35 m long that continues above water inside the island. Seafriends counted at least seven shafts and suggests there may be more. At the bottom divers reach deep-reef habitat with pink maomao and the rare splendid perch, close to Kahawai Point. The dark walls outside the cave also carry rich encrusting life.
