Tokong Laut

The pinnacle rises from a sandy bottom in the low to mid twenties of metres and is covered with hard and soft corals, sea fans and black corals. Several local dive centres call it the signature site of the islands, and divers report giant pufferfish, giant moray eels, schools of trevally, snappers and fusiliers around it. Bamboo sharks and nurse sharks rest in the gaps between the boulders, while nudibranchs and banded sea snakes reward a closer look. Whale sharks have been seen here, though only rarely. Currents can be stronger than elsewhere around the islands, so a descent line is often used.
