Hidden Beach
Hidden Beach is a little-known entry in Breakwater Cove reached by stairs from the middle of Cannery Row. Thick kelp and shallow water make it rich in life and easy for beginners, snorkelers and freedivers. Visibility near shore is often reduced by sand, but it usually improves about a hundred yards out, where divers can follow the rocky reefs along the shore. Cannery artifacts lie on the bottom and sea lions often interact with divers. Kayaks launching from the beach are a hazard on ascent.
