Hard coral grows close to the surface here, with semi-tame fish, yellow-tailed surgeonfish and seahorses. The deepest part, which sources put at between about 8 and 11 m, has less coral and poorer visibility, and divers swim from there into clear, coral-filled shallows. Heavy snorkelling traffic has broken much of the coral, so experienced divers often prefer other sites. Because it can be reached by road, it is also dived from the shore, and it is the recommended night dive for divers new to night diving.
