The largest rock rises from a sandy plain where seagrass still grows below 40 m, a sign of how clear the water is; visibility of more than 35 m is reported. Boats anchor on the sand and divers descend along the chain because of the current. The summit is crowded with anthias and damselfish, framed by red gorgonians, orange cup corals and sponges, while lobsters, morays and congers live in the cracks. Large dentex and white bream patrol between the main rock and a smaller one nearby.
