TSS Wandra
Conosciuto anche come: Wandra · SS Wandra
The Wandra was a wooden timber-carrying steamer built at Coopernook in 1907. In December 1915 heavy seas swamped her off Crocodile Head, and the captain anchored her at the Drum and Drumsticks, where she sank; all on board survived. The remains lie on sand right next to the rocky reef, so the dive usually starts at the boiler, which rests against the reef. The upright twin-cylinder engines, two propeller shafts, winches, hull ribs and scattered cargo timber can be explored in one dive. Eels live in the boiler pipes, and the PADI Blog mentions blue dragon nudibranchs on the wreck.
