Black Coral Wall

Sand patches and channels on the shallow reef top are full of juvenile fish and get plenty of light for photography. The wall runs parallel to the shore and meets sloping sand that keeps descending, which Underwater Vision likens to ski slopes. Black coral grows east of the mooring at around 25 ft, much shallower than usual, alongside plate corals. Squid, sergeant majors, parrotfish, eagle rays and passing tarpon are reported.
