Halliburton

Also known as: Halliburton 211

The ship served as an inter-island supply vessel before she was made safe for divers and scuttled in 1998 as an artificial reef just off Utila's harbour. She rests upright on a sandy bottom at around 100 ft, with the main deck near 85 ft and the top of the three-level bridge at about 65 ft. Divers can enter several areas, including the pilot house and parts of the decks. Green morays, groupers, French and queen angelfish, remoras and the occasional turtle are regularly reported. Because of the depth, dive centres take advanced divers or students on a wreck or deep course, and some only dive it as the first dive of the day.
