One Tree Bay

One Tree Bay is a small protected bay in the Coral Island group, north of Fan Canyon, that offers shelter when the south wind is blowing. The shallow part is densely covered in hard corals with giant moray eels, while bumphead parrotfish and Spanish mackerel appear in the deeper part. Turtles, blue-spotted stingrays, butterflyfish and nudibranchs are regularly seen, and when the current picks up larger fish may pass by. With a maximum of about 20 m and a sheltered setting it works for every level, from students to photographers.
