Batu Mumbang
Also known as: Mumbang Rock
Batu Mumbang is a pair of small rocky islets at the northeast point of Juara Bay on Tioman's east coast, only a few minutes by boat from the Juara jetty. The rocks descend over large boulder corals, a rocky coral landscape, overhangs and small walls to a sandy bottom at about 18 m. Branching, brain, plate and soft corals host false clownfish, batfish, fusiliers, pufferfish, parrotfish and butterflyfish, stingrays, turtles and nudibranchs are also listed, and barracuda are sometimes seen along the slope. There is usually little or only mild current, which keeps it an easy boat dive close to Juara.
