Tenth Island
Also known as: Barrenjoey · Barranjoey
Australian fur seals breed on Tenth Island, and many pups arrive in late spring. The seals are playful and come close to divers, while bulls may charge to make a point before turning away. Big schools of fish follow the seals, and there is a kelp forest on the eastern side of the island. Pupping season also draws sharks to the area. Boats can only make the trip in good weather.
