Maite
Also known as: Maite Sanctuary · Maite Marine Sanctuary
Maite lies off the cemetery south of San Juan; Marine Conservation Philippines explains that the name means cemetery in Cebuano, while Sea Pearl Divers links it to the barangay of the same name. The site can be entered from the beach, but most groups use a boat. A flat slope carries patches and mounds of hard and soft coral, and many ribbon eels live here. A healthy mandarinfish population makes it a favourite night dive. Gobies, pipefish, filefish, scorpionfish, flounders on the sand and turtles complete the list of sightings.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
