Ras Burg

Ras Burg means 'Tower Cape' and takes its name from the fossilised coral tower that stands above the surface and marks the entry point. Close to the start, a narrow chimney similar to those of Ras Za'atar is overgrown with sea fans, sponges and soft corals, and Red Sea Marine advises that only small groups of up to four divers enter it. ScubaGo also mentions a large underwater cavern to the left of the tower. After the chimney the dive drifts along the reef wall, where glassfish cover the pinnacles and trevallies, snappers, surgeonfish and barracudas patrol. Turtles and rays are seen as well. Red Sea Marine judges the wall itself as ordinary compared with its neighbours Ras Za'atar and Shark Observatory.
