Trampa Tortuga

Also known as: Turtle Trap

Trampa Tortuga is named among the deepest sites around San Andrés, and dives to 120 m have been made there. It lies beside the island's barrier reef, where a platform starting at about 12 m falls away past 100 m. It is reached by boat and recommended for deep and nitrox dives, with a Rescue or CMAS three star level asked for. Contributors mention hammerhead sharks and very large brain and elkhorn corals.
