Amatsu Maru

The tanker had been in service only a few months when bombs sank it during Operation Desecrate One. It sits upright with the deck around 30 m and the seabed near 40 m, so many divers spread it over two dives. Thick bushes of black coral and soft corals grow on the hull, rails and cranes, which gave it its nickname. The bridge with three decks can be entered from above, and pipes and valves of the cargo system are still visible. Visibility in the harbour is often limited, especially at the stern.
