Vallée aux Mérous
Also known as: Vallée des Mérous
The dive starts with a descent through open water towards a grey sandy bottom beyond 40 m. A rift reaching about 48 m opens up there, its walls hung with big sea fans that give shelter to a resident colony of groupers. Schools of bannerfish swim above the rift, and red-foot anemones with their clownfish dot the site. Le Dodo Palmé also mentions an old anchor with a wooden shank. Because of the depth the site is only for suitably certified divers, and it is most pleasant when there is no current.
