Agate Pass
In Agate Pass the tidal current carries divers from the south-east corner of the Agate Pass Bridge toward Old Man House State Park. The bottom in mid-channel lies at about 35 to 40 ft and is carpeted with anemones, and eddies behind boulders give places to pause. Most divers run it on an ebb, and PNW Diving strongly recommends doing it by boat because ending the drift at the right point from shore is difficult. A Zentacle reviewer adds that the bridge piers are the best part of the dive. Boat traffic is heavy, so a surface marker buoy is essential, and the site is not advised in fog.
