Badai Bay Wreck
Also known as: Badaiwan · Ba-Dai-Wan · 八代灣 (Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan)) · 八代灣沉船 (Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan)) · 八代灣沈船 (Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan)) · Eight Generations Bay wreck · Badaiwan Shipwreck · Bay of Eight sunken ship
The freighter was holed on a reef in bad weather in 1983, and its captain let it go down in Badai Bay so that a salvage would stay possible. Today the hull rests in sections on a sandy bottom at about 40 m, and the loading mast at the stern, the shallowest part, rises to around 20 m. Corals and large sea fans have overgrown the whole wreck, and the open stern offers a few easy swim-throughs. Glassfish, goatfish, snappers, batfish, squirrelfish and sweetlips gather around the stern, and a small turtle has been seen under the freight deck. Currents are common at the site, and a fixed line from the surface buoys to the stern is used for the descent and ascent.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
