Yamada Point

Also known as: Yamada

Yamada Point is shaped like a large underwater mountain whose top lies shallower than 5 m. One side drops steeply like a wall to about 27 m, the other is a flat sandy area with natural coral and coral farming sites where corals and giant clams are grown. Further out the sand slopes to around 24 m, where net structures act as artificial reefs and large sea turtles often shelter behind them. Macro fans look for saddleback clownfish, frogfish and the nudibranch nicknamed Pikachu. The area is large enough for two different dives.
