Furana North

Also known as: Sheraton House Reef

The outer reef top lies at about 5 to 10 m and drops beyond 30 m, while the mouth of the channel is about 19 to 22 m deep. Divers usually start on the outside with the reef on the left and, with an incoming current, drift into the channel to Furana Thila, whose top lies at about 8 to 12 m. Dogtooth tuna in packs, giant trevally, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, whitetip and grey reef sharks and large schools of fusiliers are common, and mantas also appear.
