Sub Chaser
Its identity has never been confirmed, but the very sharp bow and slim lines match whaling ships the Imperial Japanese Navy pressed into service as auxiliary submarine chasers. The wreck lies on its starboard side on sand, and PADI gives its length as about 80 ft. Only the bow is clearly recognisable, while the aft part and stern are missing entirely. Archaeologists suspect post-war salvage and explosives training as the reasons for the damage.
