La Salina
Also known as: Cavernas de Las Salinas · Salinas Caverns
La Salina lies at the west end of the southern barrier. Terraces near the entry turn into vertical walls, and at around 24 m one wall has a row of small caves at its base. The grottoes are lined with colourful sponges and large black coral, and a torch brings out their colours. Sharks are sometimes found resting inside. Outside, strong currents bring pelagic fish, sharks and rays.
