Montaña Roja

Also known as: Charlotte Reef

Divers walk in from the beach and descend gently over a reef shaped by lava, with many crevices for fish to hide in. Bream and damselfish school among the rocks, parrotfish graze, and barracuda pass in the blue. The sandy patches between the rocks are good places to find rays and the camouflaged angel sharks. At around 18 m a cave often holds large groupers and a big conger eel, which gives the relaxed dive a more interesting end.
