Cuesta del Faro
The land falls away from the lighthouse peninsula into the sea, and the dive follows that slope down from the usual anchor point. Small lava formations lie scattered over the bottom, and valleys and depressions cut into the rocky landscape. Large moray eels live here, and a small abandoned fishing wreck lies on the bottom. It is one of the deeper sites of Playa Blanca, with pelagic fish, schools of barracuda and bream, tuna, angel sharks and, below 40 m, orange and black coral.
