Pillarsteen
Also known as: Pillar Steen · Pillaarsteen · Pillerstein
Divers usually enter off the point below the rock, where a wall begins, and then swim west into a maze of caves and swim-throughs at different depths. Whip corals, soft corals and feather corals cover the slopes, and large schools of fusiliers move along the reef. Sharks, turtles, giant trevally, barracuda and midnight snappers are regular sightings, and devil rays cruise past in the blue. When the swell is calm, macro life such as sea apples and whip coral shrimp can be found. Cooler water reaches the site, and visibility is often lower than usual in the park.
