Payung Island
Also known as: Payung
The most striking scenery is on the south and west sides, with canyons and crevices and a rock shaped like a cannon at about 5 m off the southern tip. Soft corals, gorgonians and feather stars cover the rocky reef. Large schools of surgeonfish and small yellow snappers circle the rocks. Like most sites in the south, it often has low visibility and cool water, and it is best dived at slack tide.
