Buoyancy World
Also known as: Bouyancy World
Buoyancy World is an artificial site on the sand just north of Twins, off the west coast of Koh Nang Yuan, built by the island community, local government and businesses to take training pressure off the natural reef. Its specialty is the underwater buoyancy course: hoops, tunnels and an obstacle course stand alongside concrete sculptures of a giant octopus, sharks, turtles and fish. Coral nurseries placed on the structures have grown over with staghorn coral, and the site now draws parrotfish, batfish, moon wrasse, red-breasted splendour wrasse, juvenile sweetlips and yellow-spotted goatfish. The sandy bottom lies at about 10 to 16 m with very little current, which makes it a standard site for Open Water and buoyancy courses, and it is easy to add to a dive at Twins.
