Twins

Also known as: Twin Peaks · Twins Pinnacles · Twin Rocks

Twins lies just west of Koh Nang Yuan, and several centres rate it as the island's most popular site. It consists of three granite peaks lined up from east to west on a sandy bottom: two larger coral-covered boulder groups and a smaller, deeper group to the west, with an archway on the north side of the middle peak for divers with good buoyancy. Its best-known resident is a clownfish family ('Nemo') living in an anemone that divers have protected with a ring of stones and shells. Expect angelfish, butterflyfish, moray eels, blue-spotted stingrays under the ledges and plenty of macro life such as pipefish, shrimps and nudibranchs, with turtles passing occasionally. Sheltered water with very little current and sandy patches for skills make it ideal for beginners and training dives, and the Buoyancy World training area lies a short swim to the north.
