Hin Pee Wee
Hin Pee Wee is a cluster of small granite pinnacles off Koh Tao's west coast, about 30 m north of the HTMS Sattakut wreck and roughly 200 m south of White Rock. Its specialty is macro life on a small, little-visited site: anemones, table corals, whip corals and sea fans cover the rocks, and the cracks hide nudibranchs, pipefish, hermit crabs and bearded scorpionfish, with one centre naming the ornate ghost pipefish as a favourite find. The main rock tops out at about 8 m and its base lies at around 20 m, while smaller rocks to the southeast drop to about 28 m. Great barracuda circle the top, turtles rest on the ledges, sea snakes visit often, Jenkins whiprays are found, and schools of fusiliers and trevally pass by on the hunt. Visibility is often limited and there can be moderate current, so it is mostly dived by more experienced divers, often in combination with the Sattakut.
