Shimosone
Also known as: Shimozone · 下曽根 (Japanese)
With no island to shelter it, Shimosone can only be dived on calm days, and Marine Diving web calls it a summer-only site. From a reef top a few metres below the surface the rock drops away to about 40 m. Divers hold on at the edge and watch walls of fusiliers, dogtooth tuna, giant trevally and sharks, and visibility of 30 to 50 m is reported. Entries are made as full drifts, and Liberte recommends drift experience and more than 100 dives. SEASIR notes that the current is often too strong to dive at all.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
