Yakabi Tunnel

Also known as: Yakavi Tunnel · 屋嘉比トンネル (Japanese) · ヤカビトンネル (Japanese)

Several caves run into the rock and join up deep inside. Narrow openings in the roof let in shafts of sunlight, so divers can find their way with their own eyes, though a torch reveals spiny lobsters and other cave dwellers. Kerama Tours recommends the summer months when the sun is strong. Outside the caves, divers start on a rock top at about 5 m where purple anthias and small reef fish gather, and divingpoint.net describes rippled sand with coral heads further out.
