Channel Rock

Channel Rock lies east of Praslin, about halfway to La Digue, 15 to 25 minutes by boat. Its tallest boulder barely reaches the surface at low tide. Strong currents sweep the rocks, and divers wait in the lee of the boulders for passing eagle rays and reef sharks. Tuna, wahoo and barracuda hunt here too. Cold upwellings and plankton make it one of the area's best sites for whale sharks between September and November.
