Faleanga
Also known as: Fale Anga
Faleanga, whose name its former operator translates as House of the Shark, is known for its topography rather than a single feature. A long sandy channel runs through the site with huge overhangs on both sides, some reported to stretch for more than 50 m. Under the overhangs divers find whip corals with their shrimps and gobies, lobsters, lionfish, soldierfish and sea fans. A whitetip shark was reported living in a small cave, and a resident Napoleon wrasse, spotted sweetlips and black snappers are part of the scene. Eagle rays, schools of unicornfish, large groupers and now and then a leopard shark pass along the channel.
