NOAA describes the hull as intact from stem to stern, with the highest point of the deck edge some 50 ft above the seafloor. Both propellers, the rudder and the starboard anchor remain in place. DAN describes it as good preparation for expeditions to deep wrecks such as the USS Monitor. Strong currents act on the site.
