Grand Baie Aquarium

Also known as: Aquarium of Grand Baie · West Reef · Brisants Ouest · Grand Bay Aquarium

The central channel forms a small canyon whose walls shelter lobsters, shrimps, stonefish, scorpionfish, lionfish and several kinds of moray. Juvenile reef fish are abundant, and rays, turtles, ghost pipefish and porcupinefish sometimes appear. The white sand reflects light, which makes it a favourite with photographers. Blue Water uses it for beginner and refresher dives, and the PADI site page also recommends it for night dives.
