Il-Kantra
Also known as: Kantra Caves
Il-Kantra is a dive in the Mġarr ix-Xini area that starts from a small rock ledge about 10 m deep. The ledge soon falls to sand at around 20 m, and the wall leads past Neptune grass to huge boulders with swim-throughs.
Following the wall on the right, divers first cross seagrass on the sloping seabed. Further on, massive boulders create a couple of swim-throughs and shelter a variety of fish and invertebrates. The site can be dived from the shore or by boat.
