Grecian Rocks

Also known as: Grecian Rocks Reef

Grecian Rocks lies inside the Key Largo Dry Rocks-Grecian Rocks Sanctuary Preservation Area, where mooring buoys marked with a G ring the reef. Much of the reef top is only a few feet deep, so the elkhorn coral and the many tropical fish are easy to see from the surface. On the shoreward side a white sand plateau holds queen conch and a cluster of star coral, and an old cannon was placed on the sand south of the reef. Seaward, scattered coral heads give way to a seagrass bed. Because it is so shallow, divers need to keep clear of the fragile corals.
