Arcos da Formosinha
Also known as: Formosinha Arches
The dive begins on the top of the reef at around 8 m, where a carpet of algae shelters rainbow and ornate wrasse. From there the first large arch comes into view, with two smaller arches further on. Along the reef live Azores chromis, Canary damsels, several moray species and nudibranchs. Deeper, near 18 m, schools of white trevally and round stingrays are common.
