Punta Bassana
Also known as: Punta Basana · Punta Basano · Parete di Punta Bassana
Divers swim along the wall at about 10 m through clear water before dropping to the deepest part at around 36 to 40 m on the point. Red gorgonians and orange cup corals cover the rock, and at about 23 m a sandy channel is often patrolled by a group of dentex. A large hollow rock outside the wall has a cave entrance where forkbeards live. On the return a cave at about 12 m lets divers surface inside the mountain, and barracuda and dentex often hunt in the shoals of bream above the point.
