Walid Junn
Also known as: Waleed Jun
Walid Junn follows the smaller of the two Junn islands in the western Daymaniyat group. The wall is broken by large rocks and sharp cuts and is crowded with schools of fusiliers and snappers, thick enough to hide a resting whipray. The dive finishes on a shallow coral garden of table corals that reaches across to the larger Junn island. Under the tables, two kinds of sweetlips, batfish and cardinalfish hide. A diver reported counting crown-of-thorns starfish here in August.
