Les Trois Moines

Also known as: Les 3 Moines · The Three Monks

Les Trois Moines is one of the three site groups in the Cerbère-Banyuls Marine Reserve that Plongée Bleue names for its exploration dives. Three mooring buoys provide access to rocky formations and crevices that end on sand at around 21 m, with coralligenous habitat to the north. The fish life is so dense that one club says the aquarium usually starts just below the boat. Brown meagre, groupers, dentex, zebra seabream and damselfish are regular sightings. Plongée Bleue also mentions faults, arches and small caves covered in white anemones in this part of the reserve.
